Scope
GB 26569-2011 is the English-translated version of 民用煤层气(煤矿瓦斯).
GB 26569-2011 specifies the terms and definitions, quality requirements, product inspection, marking, transmission and storage of coalbed methane and coal mine gas supplied for civil use.
The methane content shall be at least 30%, and the gas is graded into Classes I to IV by methane content (>= 90%, 83% to 90%, 50% to 83%, 30% to 50%) and gross calorific value, with total sulfur not above 100 mg/m3, hydrogen sulfide not above 6 mg/m3 and a water dew point 5 °C below the minimum ambient temperature; Amendment No. 1 of 2015 lowers the calorific value bands of Classes III and IV.
Test methods refer to GB/T 13610 for methane, GB/T 12206 or GB/T 11062 for calorific value, GB/T 11060.4 for total sulfur, GB/T 11060.2 or GB/T 18605.2 for hydrogen sulfide and GB/T 17283 for dew point; factory inspection covers methane and hydrogen sulfide, type inspection all items.
The gas shall be odorized so that a leak is perceptible at 1% methane in air, and Class III and IV gas shall not be transmitted or stored above 0.8 MPa; clauses 4.1 and 6.3 are mandatory.
