This document specifies the requirements for the venue and facilities, hygiene and environmental requirements, safety requirements, and signage for the opening of go-kart tracks. Labeling requirements. This document applies to racing go-kart tracks open to the public.

01 State Administration for Market Regulation The State Administration for Standardization issued a statement.

4.1 Venue

4.1.1 Before opening a go-kart track to the public, a safety inspection of the track and its facilities and equipment should be conducted to ensure that the track and its facilities and equipment are in a safe condition.

4.1.2 The go-kart track should be inspected and maintained regularly. If it is damaged or no longer meets the safety requirements for go-karting activities, repairs should be organized immediately. Or product replacement.

4.1.3 The requirements for go-kart tracks mainly include the following aspects. The design and safety assessment of the track should be based on track safety simulation.

---In addition to complying with the current national and industry standards, the track's roadbed and surface should meet the safety requirements for go-karting competitions;

---The location and structure of safety facilities, racing facilities, and ancillary facilities should meet the requirements and safety standards of go-karting competitions. A product quality certificate and a product conformity certificate should be obtained;

---Go-kart tracks should be equipped with safety facilities such as curb buffer zones, buffer zones, dedicated curb stones, dedicated crash barriers, and dedicated safety nets;

---Go-kart tracks should be equipped with a starting platform, referee station, markings and signs, timing system, monitoring system, traffic light system, broadcasting system, and advertising. Event facilities such as broadcasting systems and communication systems;

---Go-kart tracks should be equipped with ancillary facilities such as water supply and drainage facilities, and power supply facilities.

4.1.4 The lighting for go-kart tracks should ensure uniform illumination and take necessary measures to limit glare based on the track conditions and racing requirements. For international karting events held at night, the track illuminance should not be less than.200 lx, and the illuminance in the buffer zone and vehicle inspection area should not be less than 150 lx.

4.2 Functional Buildings

4.2.1 Functional buildings mainly include maintenance areas, command centers, medical centers, and timing centers.

4.2.2 Karting venues should be equipped with functional buildings that meet the needs of karting events and daily operations.

4.2.3 Medical centers should have medical assistance facilities, medical assistance and rescue personnel; when holding competitions, they should be equipped with medical emergency vehicles.

4.2.4 If grandstands are set up in a go-kart track, the grandstands should be located outside the safety facilities, maintaining a horizontal distance of more than 1 meter from the safety facilities. All seats are at least 1.5m above the track level.

4.3 Vehicles

4.3.1 Racing go-karts should have a product quality inspection certificate.

4.3.2 The design of racing go-karts should include devices such as drive system, steering system, braking system, and safety protection system.

4.3.3 Go-karts should be maintained regularly according to the vehicle maintenance manual. The inspection should include the drive system, steering system, and brakes. Dynamic systems and safety protection systems, etc.

4.3.4 The maximum noise level of the go-kart should not exceed 108 dB.

4.4 Protective Equipment

4.4.1 Protective equipment shall obtain a product quality inspection certificate.

4.4.2 The design of protective equipment should ensure the safety of the rider's arms, torso, head, and neck, without hindering their normal functioning. Activity.

4.4.3 All parts of the protective equipment should be interconnected and should be designed to be indistinguishable without the application of significant external force.

4.4.4 The materials of protective equipment should be stable and robust, and should not break or produce sharp edges that could compromise safety. Metal buckles, metal rivets, bolts, clips, adjusting devices, etc., should all be corrosion resistant.

4.4.5 Protective equipment includes the following requirements.

a) The safety helmet should be a full-face helmet equipped with safety visors, and should not obstruct the rider's vision; (b) Protective clothing should completely cover the rider's upper body, lower body, and neck, extending from the arms to the wrists and from the legs to the ankles; It should not contain substances that may pose a danger to the wearer, and should fit snugly enough to allow for normal movement without causing any discomfort or injury. This poses a potential danger;

c) Protective footwear should completely cover and protect the wearer's entire foot and ankle;

d) Protective gloves should completely cover the rider's hands;

e) Rib protection devices should completely cover the rider's ribs and be able to withstand impact. For wearers aged 14 and under, harnesses should be used. The rib protection device on the breastplate protects the ribs.

5 Hygiene and environmental requirements

5.1 The hygiene standards and limits for go-kart tracks shall comply with the provisions of GB 37488.

5.2 The public areas of the go-kart track should be kept clean, free of pollution, and have fresh air without any odor.

6.1 Equipment and Instruments

6.1.1 Equipment and materials should be maintained regularly and records should be kept.

6.1.2 Safety protection equipment shall obtain a product inspection certificate.

6.1.3 Emergency medical supplies and equipment, including tourniquets, disinfectants, bandages, and first-aid kits, should be provided and should be within their expiration dates and in normal working order. It should be placed in a conspicuous location that is easy to access.

6.2 Personnel Requirements

6.2.1 Staff members should wear name tags and eye-catching work clothes.

6.2.2 Safety management systems for personnel at all levels of competitions should be established, and personal accident insurance should be purchased for go-kart drivers and staff.

6.2.3 A system of responsibilities for security, rescue, sanitation inspection, equipment maintenance, and various personnel's job duties, as well as emergency response plans, should be established. The system of plans and other regulations requires that employees receive safety education and training and emergency response drills at least once a year.

6.3 Fire Safety

6.3.1 Go-kart tracks should be equipped with emergency evacuation routes.

6.3.2 The installation of fire safety signs shall comply with the provisions of GB 15630 and GB 13495.1.

6.3.3 All safety and emergency equipment within the go-kart track must be kept in good working order. Fire-fighting facilities should be located in prominent positions and ensured to be operational. Ensure it can function normally.

7 Signage and Marking Requirements

7.1 Public information signs inside and outside go-kart tracks shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 10001.1, GB/T 10001.4 and GB/T 10001.9.

7.2 Guiding signs should be placed in prominent locations in all functional areas, buildings, and internal roads of the go-kart track.

7.3 Safety warning signs and alerts should be set up in areas, facilities and equipment with hazardous factors.

7.4 Go-kart tracks should display the following signs in a prominent location in the service lobby or at the front desk.

a) Go-kart driver instructions, such as driving safety guidelines, precautions, and examples of incorrect maneuvers;

b) Venue opening information, such as a description of the venue's functions, opening hours, and event schedule;

c) Monitor complaint information, such as complaint hotline numbers;
