Scope
GB 15322.2-2019 is the English-translated version of 可燃气体探测器 第2部分:家用可燃气体探测器.
Part 2 of GB 15322 covers the household combustible gas detector — the alarm fitted in a Chinese kitchen against a town gas or LPG leak, and the one that has to work for years on a sensor that slowly poisons. The standard sets the general, appearance and performance requirements, then twenty-three groups of test methods: alarm operation and set point, response time, orientation, repeatability, preheating, explosion protection, supply voltage and battery, insulation and electrical strength, electromagnetic compatibility, climatic and mechanical endurance, interference from other gases, resistance to poisoning, operation at low concentration, long-term stability and the response to carbon monoxide. It replaces GB 15322.2-2003 and GB 15322.5-2003, and is itself replaced by GB 15322.2-2026 from 1 August 2027. Issued on 14 October 2019, in force since 1 November 2020. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the edition it replaces are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are not reproduced on this page — they are in the document itself, which is delivered in full in English translation.
