Scope
GB 15066-2004 is the English-translated version of 不锈钢压力锅.
GB 15066 is the mandatory product standard for stainless steel pressure cookers, and it exists because the failure mode is an explosion in a domestic kitchen.
It sets the classification, the requirements for the body, lid and the locking system that must make it impossible to open the cooker while it is under pressure, the safety devices — the operating valve, the safety valve and the overpressure relief — the burst strength, the materials in contact with food, then the sampling, the test methods, the marking and the instructions for use.

Foreword
This standard specifies stainless steel pressure cooker (hereinafter referred to as pressure cooker) in terms of terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, sampling, test method, marking, labeling, operation instruction, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard is applicable to the following household pressure cookers:
nominal working pressure: 50 kPa ~120 kPa;
machined by stainless steel plate.
This standard does not apply to the pressure cooker which fries by oil under a pressure.
1 Scope
