Scope
GB 14748-2006 is the English-translated version of 儿童推车安全要求.
GB 14748 is the safety standard for prams, pushchairs and other wheeled child conveyances, and it is one of the most detailed consumer product standards in the Chinese catalogue. It covers the materials and their transferable element limits, combustion performance, the structural hazards — exposed tube ends, shear and pinch points, sharp edges, small parts, protrusions — the basic dimensions and the applicable age, then stability, handle strength, the parking brake, the folding lock, the restraint system and its buckle, wheel strength, and the dynamic endurance, impact and static strength tests. From 1 November 2026 it is replaced by GB/T 14748-2025, which is a GB/T: the subject moves from mandatory to recommended. Issued on 21 February 2006, in force since 1 January 2007. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the edition it replaces are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are not reproduced on this page — they are in the document itself, which is delivered in full in English translation.
