GB 14287.2-2014 is the English-translated version of 电气火灾监控系统 第2部分：剩余电流式电气火灾监控探测器.
Part 2 of GB 14287 covers the residual current detector, the most widely installed element of a Chinese electrical fire monitoring system: the device that watches the leakage current in a circuit and raises an alarm when it rises towards the level at which an arc or an overheating fault starts a fire.

This document was issued on 24 July 2014 by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the Standardization Administration of the PRC, and took effect on 1 June 2015.
It replaces GB 14287.2-2005, which is superseded.
It is itself replaced by GB 14287.2-2026.

It is a GB standard without the /T suffix: compliance is mandatory in China.
