Scope

GB 14287.2-2014 is the English-translated version of 电气火灾监控系统 第2部分:剩余电流式电气火灾监控探测器.

Part 2 of GB 14287 covers the residual current detector, the most widely installed element of a Chinese electrical fire monitoring system: the device that watches the leakage current in a circuit and raises an alarm when it rises towards the level at which an arc or an overheating fault starts a fire. The standard classifies the detectors, sets the requirements for the alarm threshold and its accuracy, the response time, the insulation, the immunity and the environmental endurance, then gives the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, with a normative annex on the residual current transformer. In force since 1 June 2015 and replaced by GB 14287.2-2026 from 1 August 2027. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the edition it replaces are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are not reproduced on this page — they are in the document itself, which is delivered in full in English translation.
