Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 13251-2008 "Packaging steel drum embedded flange sealer".

Compared with GB/T 13251-2008, this standard changes the main technical contents except for editorial changes.

--- Adjusted the reference file (see Chapter 2, Chapter 2 of the 2008 edition);

--- Removed the term synthetic rubber, thermoplastic definition (see 2008 edition 3.2, 3.3);

--- Added the term steel barrel closure, hoop closure definition (see 3.1, 3.3);

--- Modified the term embedded flange closure definition (see 3.2, 2008 version 3.1);

--- Revised the classification of the closure (see Chapter 4, Chapter 4 of the 2008 edition);

--- Revised the standards that metal materials should meet (see 5.1, 5.4.1 of the 2008 edition);

--- Modified the thickness of the galvanized layer on the flange and barrel surface (see 6.4, 2008 edition 5.3);

--- Increased corrosion resistance requirements and test methods (see 6.6, 7.7);

--- Removed the contents of the B-type embedded flange sealer (see 6.5 of the 2008 edition);

--- Added the contents of the embedded flange sealer ring and guard ring (see A.7);

--- Added the content of non-embedded closures and hoop closures (see Appendix B and Appendix C);

--- Revised inspection rules (see Chapter 8, Chapter 8 of the 2008 edition).

This standard is proposed and managed by the National Packaging Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC49).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification, materials, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, and steel drum sealers (hereinafter referred to as "closers").

Packaging, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to the design, manufacture, use and supervision of sealers.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 4122.4 apply to this document.
