Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard is the revision of CJ/T 216-2005 "soft seal gate valve for water supply and drainage", this standard compared with CJ/T 216-2005, the main Technical changes are as follows.

--- Increase the "maximum allowable working pressure" and other terms and definitions;

--- Increasing the "gear box" requirements;

--- Increased gate valve "durability" chapter, provides the requirements of the number of opening and closing cycles;

--- Modify the gate valve shell wall thickness and internal and external surface "coating thickness", an increase of coating inspection project requirements;

--- Increasing the maximum temperature and its rubber sealing material requirements;

--- Added Appendix E (informative) gearbox ratio.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the town water supply and drainage with soft seal gate valve (hereinafter referred to as the gate valve) structure type and size, requirements, test methods, seized Inspection rules, signs and delivery.

This standard applies to the nominal size DN50 ~ DN900 (which nominal size is not greater than DN400, nominal pressure less than or equal to PN25; nominal size greater than DN400, and not more than DN900, nominal pressure less than or equal to PN16), the maximum temperature of 80 °C, France Lan or socket interface type connection, ductile iron shell town water supply and drainage with the gate valve design, manufacture and acceptance.
