1 Scope
YY 0719.2 is the mandatory Chinese standard setting the basic requirements for contact lens care products, the solutions used to clean, disinfect, rinse and store lenses. It covers what such a product has to satisfy and the test methods that verify it, including the disinfection efficacy against the organisms that cause microbial keratitis, the compatibility with the lens materials the product claims to serve, the physical and chemical properties, and the labelling and instructions a wearer depends on.
