YY 0075-2005 is the English-translated version of 泪道探针.
YY 0075-2005 is the mandatory Chinese medical device and pharmaceutical industry standard for lachrymal probes. It classifies the probes and then sets out their requirements, the test methods used to check them, the inspection rules and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to the lacrimal probe as a general purpose product for the tear passages, not to one instrument shape alone. GB/T 1220, GB/T 2828.1, GB/T 2829, GB/T 18035 and YY/T 1052 are cited in support, and the standard is placed in ICS 11.040.30 with Chinese classification C31.
It was issued by the State Food and Drug Administration and replaces YY 0075-1992. Issued on 18 July 2005, it has applied since 1 June 2006.
