1 Scope

YS/T of the provisions of section 953 of the bismuth phosphomolybdate blue spectrophotometry pyrometallurgical nickel substrate compound of phosphorus.

This section applies to the determination of pyrometallurgical nickel substrate compound of phosphorus content. Determination range of 0.0050% to 0.150%.

3 Method summary

Samples with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid decomposition with perchloric smoke rush fluorine and phosphoric acid partial oxidation of ortho-phosphoric acid. In sulfuric acid, phosphorus with ammonium molybdate forming bismuth phosphorus molybdenum yellow, with ascorbic acid as a reducing agent, will revert to yellow bismuth phosphomolybdate bismuth phosphomolybdate blue. 4 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity of its water.

4.1 ethanol.

4.2 nitric acid (rho = 1.42g/mL).

4.3 hydrochloric acid (rho = 1.19g/mL).

4.4 Hydrofluoric acid (rho = 1.15g/mL).

4.5 perchloric acid (rho = 1.67g/mL).

Aqueous ammonia 4.6 (rho = 0.91g/mL).

4.7 sulfate (11).

4.8 sulfate (14).

4.9 phenolphthalein indicator (5g/L). 2.5g phenolphthalein dissolved in 500mL ethanol (4.1) in.

4.10 bismuth nitrate solution (10g/L). Weigh 10g of bismuth nitrate [Bi (NO3) 3 · 5H2O] in 400mL beaker, add 25mL of nitric acid (4.2), heated to dissolve, adding about 100mL of water, heated to expel the nitrogen oxides, 100mL added sulfuric acid (4.7), cooled to room temperature, diluted with water Diluted to 1000mL, and mix.

4.11 ammonium molybdate solution (24g/L). Weigh 12g of ammonium molybdate [(NH4) 6Mo7O24 · 4H2O] was dissolved in 500mL boiling water.

4.12 ascorbic acid solution (20g/L). Weigh 2g ascorbic acid dissolved in 50mL water, and 50mL of ethanol (4.1), mix (preparation when used).
