1 Scope

YS/T of the provisions of section 74 of the method for the determination of cadmium in copper content.

This section applies to the determination of cadmium in copper content. Measurement range. 0.00005% to 0.025%.

2 Principle of the method

In acidic medium, and the divalent copper diethyl dithiocarbamate Pb (lead salts DDTC) replacement, forming diethyl dithiocarbamate Colored complex of copper, in the spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 440nm, measured absorbance.

Color in solution does not interfere with the determination of bismuth less than 20µg.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled water or equivalent purity.

3.1 lead acetate.

3.7 diethyl dithiocarbamate lead (copper reagent lead salt) - chloroform solution. 3.8 copper standard stock solution. Weigh 0.1000g copper (wCu > 99.99%) in the 200mL beaker, add 10mL of nitric acid (3.4), low-temperature heating to fully dissolve, cooled, washed with water and dish table cup wall, moved 1000mL volumetric flask, 10mL of nitric acid was added (3.4), dilute to the mark and mix. This solution 1mL containing 100µg copper.

3.9 Copper Standard Solution. Pipette 25.00mL copper standard stock solution (3.8) in 500mL volumetric flask, was added 5mL of nitric acid (3.4) to Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 5µg copper.
