1 Scope
This section provides the determination of bismuth in zinc content.
This section applies to the determination of bismuth in zinc content. Measurement range (mass fraction). 0.00005% to 0.0070%.
2 Method summary
Sample dissolved in nitric acid, evaporated to dryness just (to avoid nitrogen oxides), adding the appropriate volume of water, subjected to ultrasonic solid-liquid extraction, so that Zinc and body separated from the supernatant by air - atomic absorption spectrometer wavelength 213.8nm measured absorbance of zinc acetylene flame to a standard curve Line method to calculate the amount of zinc.
3 Reagents
After solution preparation and analysis of water are a water containers were used in the experiments with dilute nitric acid (1 + 4) soak, wash thoroughly with a water.
3.1 Commercially available reagents
Nitric acid (rho1.42g/mL), of high purity.
3.2 Solution
Nitric acid (1 + 1).
3.3 Standard solution
3.3.1 standard zinc stock solution. Weigh 0.1000g of zinc metal (zinc mass fraction >=99.99%), placed in 200mL beaker, add 20mL of nitric acid (3.2), low-temperature heating until complete dissolution, micro-boiling removing nitrogen oxides, cooled and transferred to 1000mL volumetric flask, dilute with water Diluted to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 0.1mg zinc.
3.3.2 Zinc standard solution. Pipette 10.00mL standard zinc stock solution (3.3.1) in 100mL flask, add 2mL nitric acid (3.2), dilute to the mark and mix. This solution 1mL containing 10µg zinc.
4 Instrument
Atomic absorption spectrometer, with zinc hollow cathode lamp.
Under optimum working conditions for those who can reach the following indicators can be used.
--- Characteristic concentration. In line with the measurement of the sample solution matrix solution, characterized in zinc concentration should be less than 0.013µg/mL.
--- Precision. standard solution with the highest concentration of 10 times the absorbance measurements, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance of 1.0%;
With the lowest concentration of standard solution (not "zero" concentration of the standard) measuring the absorbance of 10 times, the standard deviation should not exceed the maximum 0.5% concentration of the standard average absorbance.
--- Linear curve. The curve is divided into five sections according to concentration, absorbance difference between the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment of the segment Ratio of not less than 0.8.
Instrument Reference Working conditions. Wavelength. 213.8nm; lamp current. 2mA; monochromator passband. 0.2nm; burner height. 6mm; air Flow. 7.0L/min; acetylene flow. 3.0L/min.
