1 Scope
This part of YS/T 281 specifies the determination of magnesium content in cobalt.
This part is applicable to the determination of magnesium in cobalt. Measuring range. 0.00050% ~ 0.0050%.
2 Method summary
The sample was decomposed with nitric acid and used in a dilute nitric acid medium using an air-acetylene flame at a wavelength of 285.2 nm at the atomic absorption spectrometer.
Magnesium absorbance.
The standard solution should contain the same concentration of cobalt matrix as the sample solution.
3 Reagent
If no special instructions, the reagents used for the analysis of pure reagents, preparation and analysis of water are secondary distilled water or considerable purity of the experiment Room water.
3.1 metal cobalt (wCo >= 99.98%, wMg 99.98, preheated at 900 ° C to constant weight and dried in a desiccator Cooled to room temperature), placed in a 250 mL beaker, carefully add 20 mL of nitric acid (3.2), cover the dish, completely dissolve, slightly boil off nitrogen Remove the water, wash the dish and cup wall, cool to room temperature. Into the 1000mL volumetric flask, diluted with water to the mark, mix. This solution 1mL containing 100µg of magnesium.
3.6 Magnesium standard solution. Remove the 5.00 mL magnesium standard storage solution (3.5) and place in a 100 mL volumetric flask. Diluted with water to the mark, mixed uniform. This solution 1mL containing 5µg of magnesium.
4 Instruments
Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Magnesium Hollow Cathode Lamp.
In the best working conditions of the instrument, who can achieve the following indicators can be used.
- Characteristic concentration. In the solution consistent with the matrix of the test sample solution, the characteristic concentration of magnesium should not be greater than 0.005µg/mL.
--- working curve linear. the working curve by the concentration of divided into five sections, the highest section of the difference between the absorbance difference and the lowest of the difference in absorbance Ratio should not be less than 0.85.
Precision. the maximum concentration of the standard solution of 10 times the absorbance, the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance 1.50%; measured with a minimum concentration of standard solution (not a "zero" concentration standard solution) 10 times the absorbance, the standard deviation should not More than 0.5% of the average absorbance of the highest concentration standard solution.
