YD/T 6017.6-2026 is the English-translated version of 网络安全产品能力评价体系 第6部分：欺骗防御（蜜罐）产品评价方法.

The document establishes the technical framework for cyber deception (honeypot) products, and for products that have a deception defence function. It describes the inspection and test methods and the corresponding evaluation methods. It is Part 6 of the series on the capability evaluation system of cyber security products and deals only with this product type.

Developers of honeypot and deception products can use it to test their products. Buyers can use it when selecting a product or running acceptance tests, and third-party evaluators can apply it when judging product maturity and quality. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T). It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
