YD/T 6017.4-2026 describes methods for testing cyber security products with test instruments, organized by the way the products are deployed. It is Part 4 of the series on the capability evaluation system of cyber security products. The document guides how a product is exercised on the test bench according to its deployment method, so that results can be compared between products and between laboratories.

It is intended for developers of cyber security products who test their own products, for users who select products or carry out acceptance testing, and for third-party evaluators who assess product maturity and quality. It is a voluntary industry standard, as the /T in the code shows. It was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 15 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 August 2026. It is a new standard.
