Scope

YD/T 2379.1-2026 is the English-translated version of 电信设备环境试验要求和试验方法第1部分：通用准则.

YD/T 2379.1-2026 sets out the general rules for environmental testing of telecommunication equipment. It specifies the requirements for test samples, the performance criteria, the order in which tests are carried out and the test methods. It applies to environmental testing of telecommunication equipment that is under normal conditions of storage, transport and use. It does not apply to environmental conditions that may be caused by fire, explosion, ionizing radiation or other accidents originating outside the equipment, and it does not contain environmental test severity levels. As Part 1 of the series, it deals with the rules common to environmental testing in general.

The standard is used by telecommunication equipment manufacturers, test laboratories and buyers who specify or verify environmental test programmes. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It replaces YD/T 2379.1-2019.

Foreword

YD/T 2379.1-2026 is a recommended industry standard of the People's Republic of China in the Telecom sector, approved and issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026, with effect from 1 June 2026.

This edition replaces YD/T 2379.1-2019.

It is administered by the China Communications Standards Association.
