YD/T 2152-2026 is the English-translated version of 光纤活动连接器可靠性要求及试验方法.

YD/T 2152-2026 defines the terms, definitions and abbreviations for optical fibre connectors and specifies reliability requirements for them, including requirements on structural design, material properties and key processes. It also describes the corresponding verification procedure and the reliability test methods. It applies to the reliability verification of single-mode optical fibre connectors, and may also be consulted for multimode optical fibre connectors.

Connector manufacturers, telecommunications equipment makers, network operators, test laboratories and buyers can use it when they design, qualify or check connectors. The standard is voluntary, as shown by the /T in its code. It was issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 11 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 June 2026. It replaces YD/T 2152-2010.
