Including the connection to the network entities to establish H. 323 call control and media exchange phase in all communication channel security, including authentication, confidentiality and integrity of three parts.

This standard applies to the H. 323 network.

Referred to here may include H. 323 network LAN (Local Area Networks), Enterprise Network (Enterprise Area Networks), MAN (Metropolitan Area Networks), internal network (Intra-Networks), , and interconnection network (Inter-Networks including the Internet), but also include the use of dial-up connection or connection point based packet transmission (such as PPP) on the GSTN or ISDN.
