This standard applies to the determination cigar mainstream smoke total particulate matter in the water.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version suitable for use herein Member. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies to this document.

YC/T 461 Routine analytical cigar smoking machine Definitions and standard conditions YC/T 463 cigars by conventional analytical determination of total particulate matter and tar with a cigar smoking machine YC/T 465 total particulate matter cigar nicotine by gas chromatography Principle 3 According to YC/T 463 trap cigar mainstream smoke total particulate matter. Use extractant containing an internal standard to the total particulate trap Phase was measured by gas chromatography to extract moisture content, calculate the total particulate matter in moisture content.

4 Reagents

Use analytical grade reagents.

4.1 Carrier gas. helium or nitrogen.

4.2 isopropanol. water content not higher than 1.0mg/mL.

4.3 Internal standard. ethanol or methanol (>=99%).

4.4 Extractant

Isopropyl alcohol solution containing the appropriate concentration of internal standard (4.3), generally at a concentration of 5mL/L. If uncontrolled extraction agent storage temperature, Temperature before use should be equilibrated to 22 °C ± 2 °C. Extracting agent with the extraction agent with YC/T 463 total particulate matter used in the determination of nicotine when using the preparation, see Appendix A.

4.5 distilled or deionized water.

4.6 Standard working solution

Adding a certain amount of distilled or deionized water (4.5) to the extracting agent (4.4) to prepare at least four different concentrations of standard solution, its concentration should cover the expected range of water concentration detected in a sample, wherein a standard solution without adding water (solvent blank).

To prevent water, bloom extraction agent container shall be fitted to the water system, all solutions should be sealed. Before using the extraction agent should continue stir Mixed with the moisture uniform, standard solution was prepared by extraction with 6.1 agent should be used for the same batch of extraction agent. Proposed standard solution prepared at least a week.

Preparation time.
