This Part replaces YC/T 169.8-2002 "tow for cigarette was measured series of standards - Part 8. moisture content." this section compared with YC/T 169.8-2002 main changes are as follows.

--- 6.4 "105 °C ± 3 °C" changed to "105 °C ± 2 °C";

1 Scope

YC/T of the provisions of section 169 of the cigarette tow method for the determination of moisture content.

This section applies to tobacco cellulose diacetate tow.

2 Normative references

4 Equipment

4.1 Balance. a sense of the amount of 0.001g.

4.4 Other tools. silica gel dryers, yarn gloves, scissors and so on.

5 Sampling

Sampling prescribed YC/T 26's. After sampling should be weighed into the sample vessel and quickly sealed.

6 Measuring step

6.1 Oven power is turned on, and keep the vents in the half-open state, the inside temperature stable at 105 °C ± 2 °C.

6.2 Open the sample lid, the lid will be placed in the box with the middle oven drying 30min, stamped out into a dryer, cooled to room temperature 6.3 clip from the sample two strands, each mass of about 10g, were placed in two samples of known mass of the box, and be covered with lid

6.4 Open the sample lid, the lid will be placed in the box with the middle oven dried sample cell density of 1/160cm2 ~ 1 Ge/200cm2;

When temperatures rise and be maintained at 105 °C ± 2 °C, start timing.

6.6 Determination of personnel during the measurement should wear gloves yarn.
