XB/T 534-2026 is the English-translated version of 稀土抛光液.

XB/T 534-2026 specifies the grades and the grade designation method, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and the packaging, marking, transport, storage and accompanying documents for rare earth polishing liquid. It applies to a suspension liquid made from cerium-based rare earth compounds by processing, which has a certain polishing performance. The liquid is mainly used to polish glass surfaces such as cover glass (including mobile phone back covers), hard disk glass substrates, optical components, liquid crystal glass substrates and photomasks. Polishing liquid for chips is excluded.

Producers of rare earth polishing liquid, glass and optical component manufacturers that use it, test laboratories and buyers can refer to the document when specifying grades, checking delivered product and agreeing delivery conditions. It is a voluntary standard (code with /T). It was approved and issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on 15 July 2026 and takes effect on 1 February 2027.
