WS/T 891-2026 is a standard for the establishment of a medical imaging centre within a tightly integrated county-level health services entity. Such an entity links the county hospital with township and village facilities, and the imaging centre serves the whole group.

It is used by county hospitals and health service entities that set up or run a shared imaging centre, by health administrations that plan regional medical resources, and by managers and imaging staff involved in its establishment. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the National Health Commission, issued on 17 March 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
