WS/T 875-2026 is a technical standard on the prevention of cognitive impairment in elderly people and on the intervention techniques used when impairment is present. It deals with how cognitive decline in older adults is approached in health care, from prevention to intervention.

The standard is used by medical institutions, community health services, elderly care providers and the staff who deliver prevention and intervention work for older people, as well as by health administrators who plan such services. It is a voluntary standard, as shown by the /T in its code. It was approved by the National Health Commission, issued on 28 February 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It is a new standard.
