Take the administrative village (resident committee) as the unit and conduct the survey according to the sampling method specified in Appendix A to detect the iodine content of the water according to WS/T 107.1 or WS/T 107.2 for the determination of iodine in urine, areas with the following indicators.

a) The median iodine of residents' drinking water < 40µg/L;

b) The median urinary iodine of children between 8 and 10 years old is less than 100µg/L.

In areas where iodine supplementation measures such as iodized salt have been adopted, they are designated as iodine-deficient areas in accordance with a).

In areas that have not taken iodine supplementation measures such as iodized salt, they are designated as iodine-deficient areas in accordance with a) and b).

Take the administrative village (resident committee) as the unit and conduct the survey according to the sampling method specified in Appendix A to detect the iodine content of the water according to WS/T 107.1 or WS/T 107.2 for the determination of iodine in urine, and diagnosis of endemic goiter in accordance with WS 276.Areas with the following indicators.

a) The median drinking water iodine of residents is >=40µg/L and <=100µg/L;

b) The goiter rate of children between 8 and 10 years old is <=5%;

c) The median urine iodine of children between 8 and 10 years old is >=100µg/L and < 300µg/L.

In areas where iodine supplementation measures such as iodized salt have been adopted, they shall be designated as iodine-suitable areas according to a).

In areas that have not taken iodine supplementation measures such as iodized salt, they are designated as iodine-adapted areas in accordance with a), b) and c).

In the administrative village (resident committee) with centralized water supply, collect 2 pieces of peripheral drinking water and enter Conduct iodine content testing in drinking water.

Children are required to be divided between males and females, and the total number of samples must be more than 50.
