1 Scope

This standard specifies the method of high frequency combustion infrared absorption method for the determination of sulfur content of pyrite.

This standard applies to natural pyrite, the determination of sulfur concentrate sulfur content, which is measured in the range of 10.00% ~ 40.00%.

2 Normative references

The following documents for the application of this document is essential. For dated references, only the dated version suitable for use herein Member. For undated references, the latest edition (including any amendments) applies to this document.

GB/T 2460 and take Pyrites and concentrate sample preparation method

3 Method summary

The sample is heated in an induction furnace in an oxygen stream in combustion, sulfur dioxide stream generated by the oxygen contained in the measuring cell to the infrared, absorption of sulfur dioxide Receiving a specific wavelength infrared, which absorbed energy is proportional to the concentration of sulfur dioxide, according to the change in energy receiving detector can be measured to give the corresponding sulfur content.
