1 Scope

This section SN/T 2206 specifies the method for the detection of Clostridium tetani in cosmetics.

This section applies to all types of Clostridium tetani cosmetics testing.

3 Method summary

According Clostridium tetani unique morphology, biological characteristics and cultural characteristics, using anaerobic culture method, application of blood agar plates were isolated, and produce beta-hemolytic ring according to the strain on blood agar around the colony, was migratory growth of Clostridium Gram-positive, catalase-negative and other special Sign certificates for identification, to mice virulence test results for the final determination of possible cosmetic Clostridium tetani qualitative test.

4 Equipment and Materials

4.1 Incubator. 36 °C ± 1 °C.

4.2 microscope.

4.3 anaerobic culture apparatus.

4.4 Balance. Range 1kg, a sense of the amount of 0.1g.

4.5 Sterilization of sample preparation equipment. sampling spoon, scissors and so on.

4.6 Sample dilution bottles, test tubes, straws, plates, ring vaccination, slides and so on.

4.7 Syringe. 1mL.

4.8 mice.
