Hygienic standard for export and import irradiated food containers and

packaging materials—Part 4. Products of polyethylene

1 Scope

This Standard of SN/T 1888 specifies hygiene standards and analytical methods for

products of polyethylene used for export and import irradiated food packaging.

This Standard applies to containers, packaging container and food industrial equipments,

which uses polyethylene resin as raw material, of import and export irradiated food.

The articles contained in the following documents have become this Standard of SN/T

1888 when they are quoted herein. For the dated documents, all the modifications

(excluding corrections) or revisions made thereafter shall not be applicable to this

Standard. For the undated documents, the latest edition shall be applicable to this

3 Terms and definitions

For the purpose of this Standard of SN/T 1888, the following terms and definitions apply.

3.1

Irradiated food

In order to achieve some practical purposes, the food irradiated by certain dose of ionizing

radiation under the requirements of irradiation process specification.
