SJ/T 12127-2026 sets out a maturity model for compliance management capability in the electronic information industry. It is a basic standard: rather than describing a product, it gives organizations in the sector a common framework for describing how well developed their compliance management is, and for judging how that capability can move from a basic level toward a more mature one.

The model is intended for electronic information manufacturers, software and service providers, in-house compliance and legal teams, and assessors or consultants who evaluate compliance programmes. Application is voluntary, as the code carries the /T mark. The standard was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, issued on 28 April 2026 and takes effect on 28 April 2026.
