SJ/T 12126-2026 specifies the test and calculation method of water balance for printed circuit board manufacturing enterprises. A water balance accounts for the water that enters, is used in and leaves an enterprise, and the standard sets out how this is tested and calculated at printed circuit board plants.

Printed circuit board manufacturers, environmental and energy managers, testing and consulting bodies and authorities that review water use can apply it. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in its code shows. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology approved it. It was issued on 28 April 2026 and takes effect on 1 November 2026. It is a new standard.
