This standard gives technical specifications for AI-based visual online inspection systems used in the electric power industry. Online inspection means that the equipment examines power facilities and equipment through images while they are in service, using artificial intelligence to recognise conditions that would otherwise need a person to look at the equipment. The document covers the technical specifications of such systems in the power sector.

It is useful for developers and suppliers of inspection systems, power utilities and grid operators that deploy them, system integrators and technical reviewers.
