1 Scope of application

This standard specifies the responsibilities and requirements, methods, inspection items and main points of laboratory animal welfare and personnel occupational health and safety inspections.

This standard is applicable to the inspection of the welfare status of experimental animals and the occupational health and safety status of personnel by animal breeding and use institutions.

External agencies such as competent authorities, accreditation agencies, etc. can also be used as a reference when conducting related evaluation activities.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions defined in GB/T 27416-2014 apply to this document.

Inspection

The activity of verifying the validity, adequacy and suitability of the project and giving the conclusion of the inspection.

Note 1."Project" can refer to the corresponding product, process, service, installation, design, etc. under different circumstances.

Note 2.The conformity assessment results can be used to determine its compliance with specified requirements.

Note 3."inspection" is translated as "inspection" in some fields. The term "inspection" in this standard is not equivalent to "inspection".

4 Responsibilities and requirements
