Scope

QC/T 812-2009 is the English-translated version of 柴油机曲轴箱油气分离器技术条件和试验方法.

QC/T 812-2009 is the Chinese automotive industry standard for the oil separator used in the crankcase ventilation of a diesel engine. It sets the technical requirements for the separator and the test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage.

Its scope is the oil and gas separating assembly that filters the crankcase gases of diesel engines of 350 kW and below, whether in road vehicles, construction machinery, forestry machinery, marine use or stationary power; separators for diesel engines above 350 kW may be handled in the same way.

It quotes GB/T 2828.1, GB/T 18297, GB/T 19055 and QC/T 772-2006. Issued on 17 November 2009, it has applied since 1 April 2010.
