1 Foreword

QC/T 260-1998 was issued by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China on 16 December 1998 and has been in force since 1 July 1999.

The technical requirements specified in this standard are formulated for the manufacturer to ensure the quality in the process of organizing the production of high-mount stop lamps for motor vehicles, and all the corresponding test methods are based on the latest edition of national standards.

The requirements of photometric characteristics and light color in this standard correspond to those of stop lamps in ECE R7 S3 issued by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

This standard is based on contents in standards for high-mount stop lamps by SAE.

This standard was proposed by the State Bureau of Mechanical Industry.

2 Scope Preview
