QB/T 4835-2026 sets out technical requirements for the installation, service and transportation of room air conditioners that use flammable refrigerants. Its subject is the work done on such appliances outside the factory: putting them in place at the user's premises, maintaining and repairing them, and moving them from one place to another. Because the refrigerant is flammable, the document treats these activities as special cases, and it is classed among the other standards instead of being a plain product specification.

Air conditioner manufacturers, installation and after-sales service companies, transport and logistics operators and inspection bodies would refer to it. It is a voluntary standard, as the /T in the code shows. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it on 13 February 2026, and it takes effect on 1 September 2026.
