QB/T 2799-2026 is a test method standard for the physical and mechanical testing of leather, and deals with the determination of air permeability. It concerns how the ability of leather to let air pass through is determined, giving laboratories and users of leather a common way to assess this property. It is not a product specification and does not set requirements for any particular kind of leather.

Leather producers, footwear, bag and garment manufacturers, testing laboratories, traders and buyers can use it when examining leather and comparing results. It is a voluntary industry standard (code with /T), approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It was issued on 13 February 2026 and takes effect on 1 September 2026. It replaces QB/T 2799-2006.
