Foreword
The feed grade potassium iodate standard is based on standards and literature such as the American Edible Chemicals Code (F.C.C, 1996, fourth edition).
Developed through a large number of experimental studies.
This standard was proposed by the Department of Market Economy and Information of the Ministry of Agriculture.
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of feed grade potassium iodate.
This standard applies to feed grade potassium iodate produced by potassium chlorate oxidation. This product is added to the feed as a supplement to iodine.
2 Normative references

3 Requirements
3.1 Appearance and traits
This product is colorless or white crystalline powder, no odor, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol.
The pH of the aqueous sample solution (1+20) is 5.0 to 7.0.
3.2 Technical indicators
Technical indicators should meet the requirements of Table 1.

4 Test methods
The reagents, water and instruments used in this standard use analytical reagents and distilled water or water of corresponding purity when no other requirements are indicated.
And general laboratory equipment.
The standard solution, impurity standard solution, preparation and products required for the determination are in accordance with GB/T 601 when no other standards are specified.
Prepared according to the provisions of GB/T 602 and GB/T 603.
