1 Foreword

NB/T 35004-2013 was issued by National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China on 8 June 2013 and has been in force since 1 October 2013.

2 Scope

Automation design for hydropower plants is the subject of NB/T 35004-2013, a recommended energy industry standard of China. It sets the design requirements for the automation of hydroelectric power plants, including pumped storage plants, that are newly built, extended or refurbished and that are run with reduced operating staff. The control, monitoring and measurement side of plant design is what it addresses, and its Chinese classification P59 with international classification 27.140 confirms its place among hydraulic engineering documents. It quotes GB/T 2900.49 and GB/T 11805 and with a group of electric power standards, among them DL/T 5039, DL/T 5065, DL/T 5186, DL/T 5413, DL/T 572, DL/T 583 and DL/T 1040. It replaces DL/T 5081-1997.
