The stoves it applies to are the larger cooking stoves used for institutional catering, identified by a cooking fire intensity above a stated threshold. Its Chinese classification is F13 and its international classification 27.060.10.

It quotes NB/T 34014-2013. Issued on 28 November 2013, it has applied since 1 April 2014.
