NB/T 20440-2017 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂反应堆压力容器防止快速断裂评定准则.
NB/T 20440-2017 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard holding the assessment criteria that guard the reactor pressure vessel of a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant against fast rupture.
It specifies the analytical methods and the assessment criteria used at the design stage to show that rapid fracture of the vessel is prevented. It applies to ferritic steel reactor pressure vessels of pressurized water reactor plants.
It quotes NB/T 20035-2011 and NB/T 20292-2014. Its Chinese classification F69 and the international class 27.120.20 put it among the nuclear reactor engineering standards. Issued on 1 April 2017, it has applied since 1 October 2017.
