NB/T 20409-2017 is a guide, not a set of binding rules, for the repair of nuclear safety related buildings and structures in a nuclear power plant.

Concrete and steel structures that carry a safety function can be damaged or can deteriorate during construction and in service, and the guide addresses how repair work is approached on structures of that class.

It is a short document by the measure of its group, classified F65 and issued as a recommended energy industry standard. Its frame of reference is regulatory as much as technical: it cites the nuclear safety regulations HAF 102 and HAF 103 together with CECS 220 from the civil engineering side. Issued on 10 February 2017, it has applied since 1 July 2017.
