Scope

NB/T 20295-2014 is the English-translated version of 重水堆核电厂压力管老化管理指南.

NB/T 20295-2014 is a recommended Chinese energy industry standard on the ageing management of pressure tubes in pressurized heavy water reactor nuclear power plants.

It lays down the basic requirements for managing pressure tube ageing at CANDU plants. Its provisions cover the whole service life of the pressure tubes, with particular attention to the ageing management programme applied during the operating phase.

The text is classified F65 in the Chinese system and 27.120.20 internationally, and it draws on IAEA-TECDOC-1037. It quotes the nuclear safety guides HAD 103/07 and HAD 103/12-2012. Issued on 29 June 2014, it has applied since 1 November 2014.
