Scope
NB/T 20236-2013 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂安全壳钢衬里焊缝无损检验.
NB/T 20236-2013 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard giving the rules for non-destructive examination of the welds in the leak-resistant liner of the containment of a pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant.
That liner is the steel skin of the containment, which is why the document carries two international classes at once, 19.100 for non-destructive testing and 77.040.20.
It replaces the earlier nuclear industry standard EJ/T 1138-2001. It quotes the nuclear quality assurance regulations HAF 601, HAF 602 and NB/T 20003. Issued on 8 June 2013, it has applied since 1 October 2013.
