Scope
NB/T 20168-2012 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂止回阀鉴定规程.
NB/T 20168-2012 is a recommended energy industry standard of China that defines the qualification procedure for check valves in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants.
It sets out the test items, the test conditions, the test methods and the acceptance criteria used when such valves are qualified by testing.
The standard applies to active check valves that have to keep their function after installation in a PWR plant, under normal operating conditions and under accident conditions, and it takes in both swing check valves and lift check valves.
GB/T 21465, GB/T 2421.1-2008, JB/T 5296, NB/T 20036.6 and NB/T 20010.9 are quoted. Issued on 19 October 2012, it has applied since 1 March 2013.
