Scope
NB/T 20078-2012 is the English-translated version of 压水堆核电厂安全级气动调节阀鉴定规程.
NB/T 20078-2012 is the Chinese energy industry standard that sets the qualification procedure for safety-related pneumatic control valves in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants.
It states the general test items, test conditions, test methods and acceptance criteria used in qualifying such valves, and notes that a valve with a particular function may need the further tests called for by its technical specification.
Control valve accessories such as solenoid valves and positioners are qualified to their own standards and are not covered here.
The procedure is for valves installed in pressurized water reactor plants that must still perform after normal conditions, abnormal conditions and design basis events; control valves of other plant types may also follow it.
GB/T 2421.1-2008, GB/T 10869-2008, NB/T 20036.2 and NB/T 20036.6 are quoted. Issued on 6 January 2012, it has applied since 6 April 2012.
