NB/T 20010.14-2010 is part 14 of the Chinese energy industry standard series on valves for pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants, and it covers moulded flexible graphite packing.

It fixes the material and performance parameters of the packing, the inspection rules, the conditions and methods of the type tests and the requirements for packaging and storage.

The part is written for nuclear safety-related valves whose medium is water, steam or air and which use a stuffing box and gland sealing arrangement, with or without an intermediate leak-off device; non-nuclear valves with the same packing may follow it as well.

Packing for instrument piping systems in nuclear power plants lies outside its scope. It is applied with JB/T 7758.1, JB/T 9141.1, HAD 003/08 and ASME B16.34. Issued on 1 May 2010, it has applied since 1 October 2010.
