NB/T 14012.3-2020 is Part 3 of the recommended Chinese energy industry series of practices for shale gas factory operations, and concerns the moving of walking and rail-mounted drilling rigs.

Beyond terms and definitions, it states the conditions under which a rig may be moved, the preparations that precede a move, the inspections carried out before moving, the moving operation itself and the maintenance that follows.

It also sets health, safety and environmental management requirements for the work. The practices are written for electric drilling rigs, while rigs of other kinds may follow them as a reference.

GB/T 28911, SY/T 5972, SY/T 6199 and SY/T 6326 are cited. Issued on 23 October 2020, it has applied since 1 February 2021.
