NB/T 10526-2021 is the English-translated version of 煤中铝含量分级.
NB/T 10526-2021 is the Chinese energy industry standard that grades coal by how much aluminum it carries, using the Al2O3 content of the coal ash as the yardstick.
Table 1 sets four classes with names and codes: low aluminum coal Al-1 up to 20.00 %, medium aluminum coal Al-2, high aluminum coal Al-3 from above 40.00 % to 50.00 %, and ultra-high aluminum coal Al-4 above 50.00 %.
Sampling, sample preparation and analysis are referred to GB/T 475, GB/T 482, GB/T 19494, GB/T 474, GB/T 212 and GB/T 1574. The scheme serves coal exploration, production and processing, and the evaluation of coal as a source of aluminum for comprehensive utilization. Issued on 7 January 2021, it has applied since 1 April 2021.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the scheme for grading the aluminum content in coal based on the Al2O3 content in coal ash, and the related nomenclature and code.
This standard applies to coal exploration, production and processing, and the comprehensive utilization of aluminum resources in coal.

4 Collection, preparation and determination of coal samples
4.1 Coal samples shall be taken in accordance with the regulations of GB/T 475, GB/T 482, GB/T 19494.1, and MT/T 1034.
4.2 Coal sample preparation shall be implemented in accordance with GB/T 474 and GB/T 19494.2.
4.3 The determination of coal samples shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 212 and GB/T 1574.
