Scope

NB/T 10184-2019 is the English-translated version of 瓷绝缘子单位产品能源消耗限额.

NB/T 10184-2019 is the Chinese energy industry norm of energy consumption per unit product for high-voltage porcelain insulators, expressed in kilograms of coal equivalent per tonne of qualified product.

It sets three levels: a limit value for existing plants and production lines, an entry value for new ones and an advanced value, with a 20% allowance for cap-and-pin disc suspension insulators and inorganic-cemented hollow insulators.

The statistical boundary runs from raw material crushing, slip preparation, extrusion, drying and glazing through firing, cementing of end fittings and packing.

Calculation follows GB/T 2589, metering follows GB 17167, and an annex gives coal conversion factors. Manufacturers and energy-saving assessors use it to judge plant performance. It was issued on 4 June 2019 and has applied since 1 October 2019.
