1 Scope

This standard specifies the basic principles and general requirements for the identification and labeling of wooden materials for structural and outdoor wood products. This standard it is suitable for the design, production and labeling of structural wood materials and outdoor wood materials product logos.

3 Terms and definitions

LY/T 2383, LY/T 2389, GB/T 22102, GB/T 22349, GB/T 26899, GB/T 27651, GB/T 29897, and GB 50005 the defined and following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Structural wood products in engineering structures, as a wooden material whose main purpose is load bearing, it has clear mechanical properties and can meet the requirements of engineering design.

Also known as structural timber.

Outdoor wood products Outdoor materials as the main purpose, wood materials with good corrosion resistance and weather resistance, which can meet the requirements of engineering design, Also known as outdoor materials.

Label of products

A label attached to a structural or outdoor product or its smallest package to indicate information about the product.

4 Basic principles

4.1 For structural or outdoor materials that meet the requirements of the current product standards, manufacturers can apply for certification to a certification body by themselves.

After passing the audit, the product with the name or logo of the certification body can be marked on the product of the certified unit.

4.2 The identification patterns of structural and outdoor products shall be designed by the certification body. The certification body may authorize the certificated enterprise to print it, and the certificated company shall adhere to it.

Affixed to each product of the certified unit.

4.2 Structural and outdoor product identification shall be used within the scope of approved certification. If the certification unit is a product of the same kind, the logo should not be this product is used on other similar products.

5 Structural material product identification

5.1 The structural product identification shall include the name or logo of the certification body; product name; product standard; strength level or use level; tree species or tree species combination (species or genus name); producer (or importer). Other information can be marked according to product characteristics and market needs, such as Product size, production date, drying method, appearance grade, formaldehyde release amount, adhesive type, product origin or import country standards and other information. See Appendix A for examples of structural material product identification.

5.2 The acronym "SWP" for structural products shall be the text watermark of the product identification, indicating that the product is produced for structural applications Manufactured and meet the requirements of the corresponding structural material product standards.

5.3 The color selection and layout design of structural material product identification shall ensure that the watermark and text are recognizable.

6 Outdoor product identification

6.1 The identification of outdoor materials shall include the name or logo of the certification body; product name; product standard; anti-corrosion or insect-proof grade; tree species or trees Species combination (species or genus name); producer (or importer). Other information can be marked according to product characteristics and market needs, such as products Letter of size, date of manufacture, name of antiseptic and insect repellent, applicable hazard level, type of adhesive, origin of product or compliance with import country interest. See Appendix B for examples of outdoor material product identification.

6.2 The acronym "OWP" for outdoor materials shall be the text watermark of the product identification, indicating that the product is intended for outdoor applications it is manufactured and meets the requirements of the corresponding outdoor material product standards.

6.3 The color selection and layout design of outdoor material product identification shall ensure that the watermark and text are recognizable.

7 Identification specifications

The size of the logo should meet the requirements for easy identification within the logo. The specific size can be determined according to the size of the product.

If the mark is small or enlarged, the proportion given by the mark shall be reduced or enlarged equally. Logo text should use standard Chinese characters, numbers and letters, font the height must not be less than 1.8mm.

8 Marking requirements

8.1 The logo can be marked separately, or it can be added to other logos according to the requirements of this document, and explained in the product manual.

8.2 Marks should be marked or hung on obvious parts on the outside of the product.

If it is directly used for engineering after mass production, it can be indicated in the product manual.

8.3 The label should be clearly visible, not easy to fall off, and should not harm the use of the product.
